Director General of Italy’s National Cybersecurity Agency

Biography

On the 9th of March 2023, Prefect Bruno Frattasi was appointed Director General of Italy’s National Cybersecurity Agency on the proposal of the Italian President of the Council of Ministers.

He joined Italy’s public service in 1981 and was appointed Prefect of the Republic in 2005. In more than four decades of career, Prefect Frattasi held several positions, including Prefect of Latina; Head of the Department of Fire Brigades, Public Rescue and Civil Defence; Head of the Legislative Office of the Ministry of Interior.

More recently, he held the posts of Prefect of Rome, Director of Cabinet of the Minister of Interior and Director of the National Agency for the administration of confiscated criminal assets.
